In 2022, Tongala was proudly recognised as Australia's Best Street Art Trail, reflecting years of creativity, collaboration and community pride. Among the trail's highlights is the striking portrait of Sir Doug Nicholls by internationally renowned Australian artist Adnate, honouring the Yorta Yorta leader, footballer and pioneering advocate whose remarkable story has strong connections to Tongala.
