Tongala Football Netball Club
Known proudly as "The Blues," the Tongala Football Netball Club has a long and proud place in the town's sporting history. Competing in the Murray Football Netball League, the club fields senior and junior football and netball teams, providing opportunities for players of all ages to represent the blue and white.
With its "One in, all in" spirit, the club is about much more than what happens on the field and court. Generations of players, families, volunteers and supporters have helped make the Blues an important part of community life in Tongala.
Tongala has also played a part in the early football journeys of some remarkable players. Sir Doug Nicholls began his football career with Tongala, while future AFL star Harley Reid played junior football in the blue and white before going on to become the No. 1 selection in the 2023 AFL Draft.
Home games at Tongala Recreation Reserve continue to bring the community together and carry on a proud sporting tradition that stretches back generations.

Tongala Cricket Club
Established in 1904, the Tongala Cricket Club has been part of the town's sporting community for more than 120 years. Competing in the Kyabram District Cricket Association, the club provides opportunities for both junior and senior players to enjoy the game and represent Tongala.
With matches played at Tongala Recreation Reserve and Brose Reserve, generations of local cricketers have taken to the crease in Tongala colours. The club continues to provide a pathway for young players while giving experienced cricketers the opportunity to compete, stay involved and pass their knowledge on to the next generation.
More than a century after its beginnings, the Tongala Cricket Club remains an important part of summer sport and community life in the town.
